A little self promotion - don't be ashamed to put your URL in your e-mail signature, participate in relevant discussion forums with your URL in the signature, and read and comment on other blogs. Also tell your friends and family to subscribe and help keep you motivated. Persistence - it took me 6 months of blogging every day before I started feeling good about the results.
